I still have a few items to pick up and add but, here's most of my food for an upcoming 7 day/6 night hike on the Sheltowee Trace. It should come in at about 1 1/2 pound/day.
I upped my normal recipe serving size by 1.5 to increase my caloric intake. On the full days I will be getting a bit over 3,000 calories/day. Each day's breakfast & dinner will be "cooked" freezer bag meals with no "cook" meals/snacks for lunches during the day. This will help reduce weight in the amount of fuel I need to carry and hopefully allow me to hike longer, not faster.
I like to bag my meals by the day to help ensure that I hit my target calories each day. I find that if I don't separate my food for each day I end up not eating all the food for a given day. After each day separated I will then put my food odor proof (OP) bags and into a Cuben Fiber stuff sack for my bear bag each night.
