Update on the Lands End 600 Fill Down Vest
I took my Lands End down vest on my last trip, which was an overnight at Red River Gorge. The temps I used the vest in were mid 30s to 50s. For this trip I paired the vest with my Patagonia down sweater at night. I ended up using the vest as a pillow.
Overall, I am quite happy with this vest. It packed well and helped keep me warm with layering. The fit and quality seem good (I will give a long term report in the future). Are there other vests that are lighter, warmer, etc...Sure! But, I think for the price, this vest is hard to beat.
The price on these vests were so good I decided to get two. The second was for a DYI project to make a vest for my dog! So far it's working great!
