Beef Walking Tacos

Ingredients:

  • ½ Cup instant rice
  • ¼ Cup dehydrated ground beef
  • ¼ Cup dehydrated black beans
  • ¼ Cup dehydrated vegetables (peppers, onions, tomatoes)
  • 1 Tablespoon taco seasoning (or to taste)
  • 1 Tablespoon dried salsa leather
  • 1 Fritos snack bag (1 oz)
  • 1 Cup water
  • Hot sauce (optional)

At Home:
Place all dry ingredients except Fritos in freezer bag.

On The Trail:
Bring 1 cup of water to a boil.  Place freezer bag in koozie/insulated pouch and carefully pour hot water into freezer bag. Close bag and leave meal in koozie/insulated pouch for 10-20 minutes, kneading occasionally.  Add Fritos and enjoy.
